Disclosures & risk warning
Please read this notice carefully. It sets out the basis on which PrimeBrokerLiquidity provides information and services, the audience they are intended for, and the material risks of trading leveraged financial products.
Institutional counterparties only
PrimeBrokerLiquidity ("PBL", "we", "us", "our") provides liquidity, execution and technology services to institutional and professional counterparties only — including banks, brokers, hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, eligible high-net-worth individuals and fintech firms. We do not offer accounts, services or advice to retail clients or members of the public.
Nothing on this website is directed at, or intended for use by, any person in any jurisdiction where such use would be contrary to local law or regulation, or where it would subject PBL to any registration or licensing requirement. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are permitted to access this website and to engage PBL's services under the laws applicable to you.
Regulatory status
PBL is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser or retail-facing intermediary, and it does not hold client money, client assets or client accounts. We do not solicit or onboard retail clients in any jurisdiction, we do not operate a trading venue, and we are not a local licensee in the markets described on this website.
PBL sits upstream of the regulated firm, as the wholesale liquidity and technology layer behind licensed counterparties. Where an activity requires an authorisation, registration or membership — dealing with clients, holding client money, marketing to retail investors, or acting as a broker in a given market — that activity is performed by the licensed firms we serve, or by appropriately licensed counterparties, and not by PBL. The licence, and every client-facing obligation attached to it, remains with the licensed entity.
This is stated consistently across our country pages. By way of example: PBL is not an SFC licensee and does not hold client accounts in Hong Kong; it is not a JFSA registrant and does not hold retail accounts in Japan; it is not a CIRO member and is not registered with any provincial commission, and does not hold Canadian client accounts; and it is not authorised by the CMA and does not act as a broker in Saudi Arabia. The same principle applies in every market we describe: those pages describe the market, not our permissions.
Nothing on this website is an offer, solicitation or invitation in any jurisdiction where making it would require an authorisation, registration or licence that PBL does not hold, or where it would otherwise be contrary to local law. References to regulators, licensing regimes and market structure are general background for firms that hold, or are seeking, their own permissions. They are not a representation about PBL's regulatory status, and they are not legal, regulatory or tax advice.
No offer, solicitation or advice
The content of this website is provided for general information only. It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, an offer, solicitation, invitation or recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument, to enter into any transaction, or to adopt any trading or investment strategy. Nothing on this website constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice.
Any decision to trade or to engage PBL should be made only after you have conducted your own due diligence and, where appropriate, obtained independent professional advice suitable to your circumstances. Descriptions of our services are indicative and are subject to the terms of any executed agreement between you and PBL.
Risk warning — leveraged products
Trading in foreign exchange (FX), contracts for difference (CFDs), and other leveraged and derivative products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all counterparties. Leverage can work against you as well as for you: it magnifies both gains and losses, and losses can exceed the amount initially committed.
Prices can move rapidly, particularly in volatile or illiquid markets, and gapping, slippage and widening spreads may occur. You should not trade in these products unless you understand their nature, the contractual relationship into which you are entering, and the full extent of your exposure to risk. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
Illustrative and forward-looking content
Any figures, examples, tables, asset-class references or structural descriptions on this website are illustrative and are provided to explain the nature of our services. They are not quotes, guarantees of availability, or commitments as to pricing, spreads, depth, latency or execution outcomes, all of which depend on prevailing market conditions and the terms agreed with you.
Statements that are forward-looking in nature reflect current expectations and are subject to change without notice. PBL does not undertake to update them.
Third-party liquidity, venues and content
PBL aggregates liquidity from third-party sources, including tier 1 banks, non-bank market makers, electronic communication networks and other venues. Pricing, availability and execution ultimately depend on those third parties and on market conditions. PBL does not control, and is not responsible for, the acts, omissions or systems of any third-party liquidity source, venue, technology provider or platform.
This website may reference or link to third-party information or services. Such references do not imply endorsement, and PBL is not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of any third-party material.
No warranty; website information only
While PBL takes reasonable care in preparing the information on this website, it is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PBL accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the information contained on this website.
